Philosophies and Things: Excerpt from an old English Paper
I know very little. I am no Buddhist, nor do I claim to be. I do not meditate. I know no Zen. However, these are all just names for things that others have developed throughout history. It is possible for all of these to occur naturally in humans, without an organized process behind it. Humans tend to be led by other humans, and those leaders are led by ideas. We are social. We live in groups. We are not inherently solitary creatures. On the contrary, when one decides to embark on his or her own personal journey, they must know that it is their journey, and no one else’s. The path to enlightenment of any sort is not something that can be a team effort.
